Super Power: Manifesting
Walter spent his early years with his sister Missy at his side in the town of Montville, Maine. With his family renovating houses, and making a living in the woods industry, he absorbed knowledge early on how to be resourceful, and versatile by observation. Transitioning into Camden High school in his teens he took a special interest in the Industrial Arts Class, Mort Strom and Dan Richards became his mentors throughout his highschool years creating ample time to take wood working to the next level. Walter attributes these years with accessibility to tools, trusting mentors, and safe space to create, with vision and improve skills moving forward in life. These opportunities growing up were a great start to open the creative possibilities to excel in building log and timber structures, and fieldstone installations, while raising his family. Walters kids, Avary Otis, learned these skills to enhance her their life in the field of real estate sales and development, Chapin Lamont now ia a accomplished Bush pilot, flyfishing guide, and backwoods builder. Walter feels the need to expose young minds to the creativity of using local materials, exposure to basic tools, and space to enrich their developing minds opens the door to endless opportunity moving forward. Walter feels Riverside Learning Center, along with the skilled community giving back knowledge, will create a space to safely work with instruction will build a stronger community for all involved.

And I did not speak out/Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out/Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out/Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left/To speak out for me" - Pastor Martin Niemoller
